Penang Grand Tour

Begin this adventure with a visit to Kek Lok Si Temple. This is the largest Chinese Temple in South East Asia. Located on a hill, one can also enjoy a beautiful view of Georgetown. The colorful Thai Buddhist Tenoke awaits you. It houses the 4th largest Reclining Buddha in the world measuring 108 feet long. The Burmese Buddhist Temple across the street spices up the already rich cultural diversity of Penang. Enjoy lunch at a leading hotel or restaurant. Journey to the northern tip of Penang called Batu Ferringhi which takes you to the Penang Butterfly Farm. Stroll in this beautiful walk-in aviary to see the many species of tropical Butterflies that flutter around you. The other facade of Penang, the countryside slowly unveils itself to you as you drive through the hills. Stop at a local Fruit & Spice Stall for a firsthand look at the fresh spices and local fruits. Travel onwards to appreciate the humble beginnings of the Malay folks in the different villages. Stop a while for some photos of the tranquil Malay Villages, called Kampungs. Drive southward and proceed along the coastal road to view the Penang bridge, which is the 5th longest in the world. The coach pulls over for you to get a wide-angle view of the bridge.
