Regent Seven Seas Cruises' 700 passenger, "Seven Seas MARINER" is the world's first all-suite, all-balcony ship, as well as the very first to offer dining by the famed "Le Cordon Bleu' of Paris" (undoubtedly the most famous cooking school in the world), in one of four, open-seating restaurants.   Catering to only 700 guests, she is one of the most spacious cruise ships afloat, and, her staff to guest ratio of 1 to 1.6.   All suites feature private balconies, European king-size beds convertible to twins, a separate sitting area and marble-appointed bathroom, with full bathtub and shower.

JANUARY 25, 2011 LIMA / CUSCO

We will be transferred from the pier to the airport, with assistance for our departure flight.

Flight to Cusco.

Upon arrival in Cusco, we will be provide assistance and be transported to the HOTEL NOVOTEL – CUSCO

We will take a tour of the city, starting out at the Santo Domingo convent monastery. This former Colonial monastery was previously the Koricancha temple, one of the most important temples devoted to worship of the sun. According to the chronicles, it was covered in gold Leaf and filled with golden representations of nature. Also included in the tour are stops at the Plaza de Armas and the Cathedral. After touring the most interesting sites of the city, we will be driven to the countryside outside Cusco to visit some of the remarkable Inca ruins in the area. Included are the cult centre of Sacsayhuaman, the temple and amphitheatre of Kenko, and the Red Fortress of Puca Pucara.


TUE 26 CUSCO / MACHU PICCHU B/L/D

Breakfast at the hotel Overland transportation to Ollanta train station. We will board the train for Machu Picchu. Upon arrival at Aguas Calientes, we will take a 25-minute coach ride to "The Lost City of the Incas", discovered by American explorer Hiram Bingham in 1911. We will have a guided tour of the marvelous citadel, visiting the Main Square, the Temple of the Three Windows, the Circular Towers, the Sacred Sun Dial and the Burial Grounds. Buffet Lunch.

WED 27 MACHU PICCHU / CUSCO

It is ‘strongly’ recommended that you wake up early to see the sunrise over Machu Picchu. This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. For hiking enthusiasts, you climb to the peak of Huayna Picchu. In the afternoon, you'll return to Ollanta. We’ll transfer to our hotel in Cusco.
