Mykonos

The picturesque white painted villages of Mykonos - part of the Cyclades – is known for its nightlife, white painted houses, little churches, great golden beaches and spectacular (grain) windmills. Mykonos dates as far back as 3,000 BC, when it was inhabited by the Kares, then the Egyptians and then the Cretes. The Romans conquered the island in 146 BC.

Above are my photos of “Little Venice,” a picturesque corner of the island known for its Venetian houses with their multicolored porches and wooden balconies, some built in the water - with the waves breaking under them. At the beach there are trendy cafes and bars.
